Step by step

  1. Add a standing charge: the client, what it is for, the amount each time and how GST applies, how often (every week, fortnight or month), the first day it is charged, and a last day if it ends.
  2. Every invoice run bills each one that falls due in its period, exactly once, at its own amount. Voiding the invoice that billed one releases it to be billed again.
  3. Monthly keeps the first day's date; in a month too short for it, it falls on that month's last day.
  4. End stops it after a day you choose.

Tips

  • For a client the NDIS funds, name the NDIS support item it is claimed under; the amount must be within that item's national price limit.

Standing charge

Set up or change a fixed amount billed to one client every week, fortnight or month.

  • Once it has been billed, when it falls due stays as it is — end it and add a new one to change that.
