Billing, claims and funding

Payments received

Money that has landed, before it is matched to invoices. Use it when one payment covers several invoices — which is how most funders pay.

Money and billing at Office, set by role in Settings → Roles

Step by step

  1. Record the payment as it reads on the bank statement: the amount, the date, and the reference.
  2. Open it and match it against the invoices it covers. Anything left over stays visible until it is matched.

Tips

  • The column to read is Unmatched.
  • A payment can be banked and identified later, and hiding it until then is how it gets forgotten.

Record a payment received

Write down money that has landed, exactly as the bank statement reads it, before working out which invoices it covers.

  • The payment sits as unmatched until you match it, which is the point — the matching is the checking.
  • The payer is optional. A payment can be recorded before anyone has worked out whose it is.

This is the help Corella shows on this screen, word for word, written in its default words: client and carer.
