Visitor sign-in
Visitor sign-in terminal: Every visitor signed in, and the person they're seeing told.
A tablet or computer at the front desk, paired once with an administrator's approval. Visitors sign in for a visit you expected or as a walk-in, the person they're seeing is told in Corella — and by text or email if they choose — and Who's on site lists every visitor signed in, for each office and the whole practice.
How it flows
From the front desk to Who's on site.
- 1Switch it on
An administrator turns on the sign-in terminal in Settings, and the card shows the terminal's address.
- 2Pair the device
The tablet or computer opens that address and shows an 8-character code; the administrator types it in Settings, checks the device it names and approves it.
- 3A visitor signs in
For a visit the office expected — by the code they were given or their mobile — or as a visitor or contractor, saying who they're seeing and why.
- 4The person is told
The person they're seeing is told in Corella, and by text or email if they choose; a backup is told when that person isn't in that day.
- 5Who's on site
Every visitor signed in and not yet signed out, for each office and across the practice — and staff can sign a visitor out.
What people ask first
The short answers, up front.
What is the sign-in terminal?
A tablet or computer at your front desk where visitors sign in and out, linked to Corella.
How is a device set up?
Once: it shows an 8-character code, and an administrator types it in Settings and approves it.
Who is told a visitor has arrived?
The person they're seeing, in Corella — and by text or email if they choose.
What does Who's on site show?
Each visitor, why they came, who they're visiting, when they arrived, at which terminal and who was told.
More than one office?
Each office has its own address, assembly point, backup person and devices.
How do expected visitors sign in?
With the code they were given when the visit was booked, or the mobile they booked with.
Is it on for every practice?
It stays off until your practice switches it on.
What does a visitor see?
Your welcome screen, then only their own visit — no staff list, no client and no other visitor.
Can staff sign a visitor out?
Yes — from Who's on site, when a visitor left without signing out at the desk.
Whose screen
The same job, from each seat.
In the office
Reception and the office see Who's on site: the count for each office and the practice, each visitor with who they're seeing and when they arrived, the visitors expected today, and who signed out. Expect a visitor books someone in and gives the code to pass on.On the phone
The person being visited is told in Corella when their visitor arrives — and by text or email, if they choose — so they can come to the front desk. For families
A family member arriving for a meeting signs in at the front desk against their appointment, with the code they were given or the mobile they booked with.In detail
How it works, step by step.

A device at the front desk, paired once
Switch on the sign-in terminal in Settings and its card shows the terminal's address. Lock the tablet or computer to that page with its own kiosk mode — the card lists each kind — open the address, and press Set up this device: it shows an 8-character code for 10 minutes. Back in Settings, Add a device takes the code, names the device it belongs to so you can check it's the one in front of you, and asks you to name it and approve it. The device becomes the terminal straight away. You choose whether visitors sign, and whether they read and accept a document of yours, and you can write your own privacy details for the welcome screen.

Signing in, and the person they're seeing is told
A visitor the office expected chooses I have an appointment and types the code they were given, or their mobile; anyone else chooses I'm visiting or a contractor and says who they're visiting and why. The person they're seeing is told in Corella, and by text or email if they choose — a text is one of your practice's texts, where texts are on — and each office's backup person is told when the person being visited isn't in that day. Expect a visitor books someone in — their name, when, who they're visiting and their mobile if you have it — and shows the code to give them; website meetings booked in person appear on their day and are found at the front desk by the mobile they were booked with.

Who's on site, at every office
Who's on site lists the visitors signed in and not yet signed out, the visitors expected and who signed out today: each visitor, why they came, who they're visiting, when they arrived, at which terminal and who was told. Staff can sign out a visitor who left without signing out at the desk. Each office has its own address, assembly point, backup person and devices — and, if you like, its own list of the people who can be visited there — and the line at the top counts the visitors at each office and across the practice. A device finds only its own office's appointments, and a visitor who types a booking code at the wrong office is told which office it is at.
Straight answers
Safety built in: what warns you, and what it stops.
Warns you
- A booking code typed at the wrong office — the visitor is told which office the appointment is at.
- The person being visited away that day — the office's backup is told instead.
Stops you
- A device that hasn't been approved — it becomes the terminal only once an administrator approves its code in Settings.
- A browser signed in to Corella used as the terminal — it's refused, so the front desk never opens a staff account.
- A visitor seeing other people — the terminal shows no staff list, no client and no other visitor.
- A device at one office finding another office's appointments — each device finds only its own office's.
