Clients and intake

Cases

Episodes of care — a named piece of work for one client over a date range, with its own payer, price and paperwork.

Updated 15 October 2026Corella’s help for this screen, word for word

Module:
Cases & payers (rate cards, funding), switched on in Settings → Modules
Access:
Care planning and coordination at Office, set by role in Settings → Roles

Step by step

  1. Open a case to see every appointment, note and document that belongs to it.
  2. Close a case when the episode ends, so it stops appearing as current work.
  3. Mark it Expired instead when it was an APPROVAL that ran out rather than work you finished. The tab, the status and the reason box all change wording with it.

Tips

  • A case belongs to ONE person.
  • The payer and rate card come from the case, so booking against the wrong case bills the wrong party.
  • Expired means the funder's approval ran out — the work may well continue once it is renewed. Closed means the episode finished. Both stop the case counting as current and both record the date it stopped; only the status says why.
  • The drawer says which state the case is in and leaves the decision to you.
