- Access:
- Clinical records at Manage, set by role in Settings → Roles
Step by step
- Filter by kind, person or date.
- To write a note up after a shift, pick the shift in New note — the client's shifts from the last 30 days are offered — and it is attached to that shift. A carer's own note, written on their shift screen, is attached automatically.
- If your organisation has AI assistance on, a Check my note button sits under the note.
Tips
- Where notes go, in one sentence: everything written here, on a shift, or on the client's Notes tab lands on that client's one record, in one list. A meeting summary and a team message can be filed onto the record from their own screens, and land in the same list.
- Deleting a note takes it off the client's record and out of every list, count and notes export, with the care signals read from it. It is kept: an administrator ticks Deleted notes here to see the deleted ones, with who deleted each and when, and presses Restore to put one back exactly as it was. Both are in the audit log.
On this screen
New note
Write a progress note, handover, feedback or enquiry — and, where consumables are switched on, say what the visit used.
- Marking it office-only hides it from delivery staff.
- With the visit scribe on, once you pick the client a Record the visit box appears: record (or upload a recording), and the draft note lands in the fields below for you to read back and fix before you press Add note. The client must have signed the current recording permission; the box offers it on the spot.
- Shift (optional) lists the client's shifts from the last 30 days once you have picked them. Choose the one the note is about and the note is attached to it, with "When" moved to that shift's start.
- What you list under "what was used" is what gets billed and what comes off the stock count. Record what was actually used.
Edit note
Correct a note you wrote.
- An edit is tracked. For anything material, add an addendum instead — the original text is part of the record.
Ask for a countersignature
Send a note to a senior colleague to co-sign.
Send it back
Return a note to its author instead of countersigning it.
This is the help Corella shows on this screen, word for word, written in its default words: client and carer.
