- Access:
- Messages and broadcasts at Manage, set by role in Settings → Roles
Step by step
- Tick Follow-up required to pass a call to somebody: say what it is For (your own list, under Settings → Communications) and who it is Assigned to. With a person chosen it goes to their coordinator — the leader of their team who can open the call log — unless you choose someone else, and that person is told as soon as you save. It stays on their dashboard under For you until it is done.
- About a shift links the call to one of the person's own shifts, from a week back to four weeks ahead, so a shift change opens straight on the roster.
- For me shows the open follow-ups passed to you; Follow-up due shows every open one.
Tips
- A follow-up can only be passed to somebody who can open the call log.
- Your own staff can be the other party on a call, picked from the same list as the directory.

Log a call / communication
Record a call or message: who, when, what about, and whether it was answered.
- Other party takes either a directory contact or one of your own staff — they are two groups in the same list. Link the person rather than typing their name: a name typed three ways is three people to every report.
- Handled by is who TOOK the call. Other party is who was on the other end — a carer ringing the on-call phone is the party, and whoever answers is the handler.
- Private ticks the log down to HR, the person it is about, whoever took or wrote it, and the person it is passed to. Use it when a call is about somebody's conduct rather than about the work.
- For and Assigned to appear with Follow-up required. Assigned to starts as the person's coordinator once you choose the person — change it, or choose Unassigned to leave it with the office.
- About a shift lists the person's own shifts from a week back to four weeks ahead. Choosing another person lets go of the shift.
- Tick Follow-up completed to close it, and say what was done if you like — the call log keeps who closed it and when.
This is the help Corella shows on this screen, word for word, written in its default words: client and carer.
