Free template · invoice
NDIS invoice template for providers and support workers.
An invoice a plan manager can pay without writing back to ask: who you are and your ABN, who the support was for and their NDIS number, and a line for every support with its date, item number, hours and price — with a place to say how GST applies.
Who it is for: Providers and sole-trader support workers invoicing plan-managed or self-managed participants. Supports funded by the NDIA directly are claimed in the provider portal instead.
No email, no sign-up. Checked against the rules on 15 October 2026.

What a claim needs, by how the plan is managed
To claim a support, the NDIA needs the participant's name and NDIS number, the dates of support, the support item number and the price. Self-managed participants pay your invoice through their own NDIS portal, and you send them a receipt once it's paid. Plan-managed invoices go to the plan manager, and need a valid ABN — or the ATO's Statement by a Supplier form if you're exempt. Supports the NDIA funds directly aren't invoiced at all: you claim them in the provider portal.
Guide to getting paid — NDIAPrice limits, since 24 September 2026
The maximum prices in the NDIS Pricing Schedule 2026-27 are now set by the Minister's determination under the NDIS Act. They apply to NDIA-managed and plan-managed participants: a provider can't charge more, and a claim above the limit can't be paid. Self-managed participants are outside them.
Pricing arrangements — NDIAGST-free when four things line up
If you're registered for GST, a support to an NDIS participant is GST-free when the participant's plan is in effect, the support is a reasonable and necessary support in that plan (and no more than it specifies), there's a written agreement that identifies the participant and says the support is in their plan, and the support is a kind the GST-free NDIS determination covers. That determination covers supplies made before 1 July 2027. The written agreement can be a combination of documents, invoices included.
National Disability Insurance Scheme — Australian Taxation OfficeTaxable lines need a tax invoice
Where you're registered for GST and a line is taxable, the invoice has to work as a tax invoice: it says it is one, shows your ABN and the GST, and makes clear which lines are taxable and which are GST-free. From $1,000 it also shows the buyer's identity or ABN.
Tax invoices — Australian Taxation OfficeClaims within 90 days, from 1 December 2026
From 1 December 2026, claims for NDIS payment must be made within 90 days of the support, down from two years. A plan manager can only claim once your invoice arrives, so send it promptly.

Filling it in
What makes it a good record.
One invoice per participant
Keep each participant on their own invoice, and plan-managed and self-managed supports apart. A plan manager pays from one participant's budget at a time.
The item number for the time of day
For daily personal activities and community participation, weekday daytime, evening, night, Saturday, Sunday and public holiday support each have their own support item number and price limit. Use the one for when the support happened.
A record behind every line
Each line should match a progress note or timesheet for the same date and hours. It's what a plan manager or the NDIA asks for if a claim is reviewed.
Say what a special line is
Travel, a short-notice cancellation or non-face-to-face time can be claimed only where your service agreement allows it. Label the line so the plan manager claims it the right way.
Send it within days
Invoice weekly or fortnightly rather than monthly. With 90 days to claim from 1 December 2026, a late invoice eats into the plan manager's time.

In Corella
The same record, kept for you.
In Corella, the invoice is built from the shifts themselves. A billing run picks up the period's worked shifts, billable cancellations and standing charges — one invoice per participant, funding type and episode of care — and each service's rate carries its NDIS item number and the 2026-27 price limit it's checked against. Lines for NDIA-managed participants go into the NDIA's 16-column bulk payment file instead, ready to upload in the provider portal.
